I am born and raised in South Dakota, growing up on the Pine Ridge Reservation. After high school I immediately went to the work force in Rapid City to provide for my family. I enjoyed working in South Dakota, however I had ambitions to be a wild land firefighter. I attended a fire academy in San Diego and did well enough to join the Golden Eagle Hotshots Fire Agency for their 2014 season. After that opportunity I felt the need to serve my country, enlisting in the United States Marine Corps and spending 4 years at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, earning the rank of Corporal. After finishing my service with the USMC in 2019 I returned to South Dakota to spend more time with my family, gaining employment with the National Parks Service. I am currently enrolled in the Farm and Ranch Management program through Western Dakota Tech. I chose farm and ranch management to help better serve my community and educate on the importance on proper land management with agriculture.
